Intersexualidad: Guía para la atención de controversias

Abstract

This article presents the guide for the attention of controversies related to intersexuality that was developed based on the conclusions and recommendations of the research conducted as part of the doctoral dissertation of the author, that had the main objective of proposing legal alternatives in response to the specific objectives. This article includes a summary of the theoretical framework of the research and the guide developed for the attention of controversies related to intersexuality. The guide was prepared taking into consideration the most important conclusions in the five areas of study that included international, regional and non-government documents; comparative judicial decisions and legislation. It is also based on the analysis of the statements, options and priorities expressed by intersex persons in public forums and the interviews of experts that have worked with intersexuality from diverse perspectives.
